Some Animation Facts!

 Here Are Some Animation Facts!

  • Fans of Kim Possible often cite the popularity of Phineas and Ferb as the reason that KP got the canceled. KP ended a full year before P&F started airing regularly, and mainly because the show's creators wanted to move on.
  • After  Pickle and Peanut was renewed for a second season, fans got annoyed at it because of the cancellation of Wander over Yonder. The truth is that P&P itself was all but impossible by the network during its run, being placed in a year-long hiatus after its first season, and like several other Disney XD cartoons(including Wander itself), ended after its second season (albeit on its own terms with a definite finale).
  • In the late 1990s and early 2000s, many people blamed Rugrats for the fact that The Ren & Stimpy Show and Rocko's Modern Life were cancelled, when in reality Ren and Stimpy was cancelled because of low ratings after the creator's firing and Rocko's Modern Life was cancelled because Nickelodeon thought that Joe Murray wanted to end his show.
  • No, The Legend of Korra was NOT removed from Nick's schedule and made online exclusive in favor of Nickelodeon's more comedy based TVshows. It's a far more complicated situation than that involving the leak of a number of Book 3 episodes that is explained in further detail on the Screwed by the Network page. Thank you for your time. Have a nice day.
  • ChalkZone got a lot of flack from angry Invader Zim fans claiming that the former got the latter canceled. Not only was ChalkZone delayed for two years (and thus was not meant to be a replacement show), but Zim was still running when the first season of ChalkZone premiered The Fairly OddParents! and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius are also blamed for this.
  • ChalkZone also got some flack from people who thought it was a rip-off of the 1970s cartoon Simon in the Land of Chalk DrawingsCo-creator Bill Burnett stated in this interview that he hadn't even seen it when ChalkZonewas being made.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants is often blamed as the main reason for Nickelodeon's decline in the late-2000s. In actuality, Nick would often refuse to give other shows a proper chance regardless, with SpongeBob likely having nothing to do with any other show's chances. Also, anyone involved with SpongeBob doesn't work in Nickelodeon's scheduling department, and would probably be receptive to their programmers actually having a schedule with various programs throughout the day rather than just SpongeBob throughout the broadcast day. The same can be said about Cartoon Network and Teen Titans Go!. In particular, Teen Titans Go is often blamed for causing Adventure Time and Regular Show to end, even though both of those series were deliberately ended by their creators.
  • Angry Total Drama fans frequently see Fresh TVand Teletoon as being entirely responsible for many of the unpopular or controversial story decisions made in the seasons following the first. However, Cartoon Network purchased the majority of the rights to the franchise after the massive success of the first season, giving them greater ownership and far more influence over the show and its production than Teletoon, the franchise's channel of origin.
  • This video blames newer kids shows for the the cancellations of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and The Owl House. The biggest problem with this statement is that these “kids shows” are aimed at a younger audience than these two shows, being made for preschoolers. Furthermore, it's also important to note that She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power was not cancelled, it reached a planned conclusion and ended.
  • Many Doug fans claim that "Disney ruined Doug" when they bought the rights to the show and un-canceled it. In fact, buying Doug (and slapping their name on it) was the only thing they did to the show. Creator Jim Jinkens made all the changes himself.

Bear in the Big Blue House:

According to this article, "When You've Got To Go!", which taught about potty training, was a very special episode. Why? Because back in the 90's, and even still today, potty training was rarely addressed in Western children's shows. It even was released on home video

  • Schulz also did this to a lot of "experimental" characters that never quite worked out. He once introduced a boy who was named 5, who claimed his family had changed their names to numbers, claiming that numbers were becoming more important than names these days. Unfortunately, he was sort of a one-joke character, so he eventually disappeared and was forgotten about. He's best known today for being "that guy who moves his head from side to side while dancing" in A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Here’s A Mascot From A Commercial That You Might Remember!

Hey, Let’s Talk About One Ad Mascot That An Ad I Remember…

  • Erin Esurance was a Cartoon Network-esque super spy who went on dangerous assignments while pitching for the insurance company that created her. Her commercials ran for several months then abruptly stopped without explanation, and she was reduced to a static icon next to the company's name before being dropped completely. Much has been written about the vast, vast quantity of fanart she's now in, but the simple truth is most likely that the campaign had run its course and the company couldn't think of any new adventures for her.
