Here’s A Banned Cartoon Episode!
- The Powerpuff Girls (1998) pseudo-series finale "See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey" was banned, allegedly due to being about Communism, However, series creator Craig McCracken revealed on his Tumblr account that the real reason the episode got banned was because of what the network perceived as religious imagery — they claimed the metal beams in the destroyed buildings looked too much like crosses, and one of the hippies looked like Jesus. However, the episode can be seen on the complete series DVD set for the show, as well as on digital download and some streaming services (HBO Max doesn't have the episode).
