• Before the 2000s series Hamtaro was released in Japan. There was a short OVA adaptation called "Tottoko Hamutaro: Anime Dechu!" which features different designs for the Ham-Hams and an older version of the show's theme song. This version faded into obscurity, and was lost in Japan for 18 years until it resurfaced online in July 20, 2017.
