Here’s Some Looney Tunes Facts!

 Here’s Some Looney Tunes Facts!

Looney Tunes

  • The cover artwork of the 1st volume for the Golden Collection features Taz on the front cover, inside back cover and the third disc. However, he only appears in one cartoon featured on the fourth disc. Similarly, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner are featured on the front cover and the disc 4 cover, but only appear in one cartoon featured on the thirddisc. Likewise with Tweety and Sylvester who are featured on the cover for disc 3, but their cartoons are actually featured on disc 4. (Also, unlike Wile E. and Road Runner, Sylvester is featured much more prominently on disc 4, appearing in six cartoons, including the three with Tweety.)
    • Additionally, Porky Pig, despite being the focus of the second disc alongside Daffy, appears nowhere in the DVD artwork, apart from a screencap from the "Duck Dodgers" cartoon on the back. (Porky wouldn't get any DVD artwork appearances until the outside back cover and the third disc of volume 3, and later the front cover for volume 4.)
  • The cover artwork of the 2nd volume of the Spotlight Collection features characters who don't appear in the cartoons included, specifically Pepe Le Pew, Penelope, Speedy Gonzales, Marvin, Taz, Foghorn Leghorn and Henry Hawk. (Marvin's dog, K-9 also appears in the inside DVD artwork.) Other characters on the cover appear in the DVD's Golden Collection companion, but not on the Spotlight Collection edition, including Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote (who are the focus of the Golden Collection's 2nd disc), Hubie and Bertie (who appear in two cartoons of the 2nd disc), and Yosemite Sam (who appears in one cartoon of the 1st disc).
    • If that wasn't enough, some prints of this DVD include screenshots on the back and inside covers of Bugs Bunny and Road Runner cartoons from discs 1 and 2 of the Golden Collection equivalent. This was noticeably corrected on later printings. (Specifically, the original print erroneously featured scenes from "Little Red Riding Rabbit" and "Zipping Along" on the back cover, which were corrected with scenes from "I Love to Singa" and "Old Glory" respectively. Also, the inside cover originally showed scenes from "There They Go-Go-Go!" and "The Hare-Brained Hypnotist", which were replaced with scenes from "Duck Soup to Nuts" and "Three Little Bops" respectively.)
