The Looney Tunes cartoons used two female voice actors, Bea Benederet and June Foray, for most female speaking roles (such as Miss Prissy and Granny). Penelope Pussycat's mewing and purring sound effects, meanwhile, were provided by Mel Blanc and, later on, Frank Welker. In Penelope's case, the major aversion occurred in Carrotblanca, where her proper speaking role was done by Tress MacNeille.
