- A green energy industry? If a simple and cheap way of decarbonizing could be implemented to stop climate change, then nobody would be interested in spending additional money on zero-carbon power sources. Considering how much money is made in this sector now, such an invention could REALLY displease a lot of rich & powerful people, who would be willing to mess with the timeline to avoid it.

- Or more likely, the Fossil Fuel Industry, though for probably the same reasons

- Fossil fuel industry would only benefit from such device - all those concerns about global warming would be swept away.

- On the other hand, it was revealed in "U. F. Whoa!" that Hailey had invented a renewable energy source, which is something that would probably put the fossil fuel industry out of business... but that same source is what powers the Chaos Bots, so any time change that stops that from getting invented would also stop the bots, which is a paradox.

-The bots seem surprisingly easy to defeat, so whoever created them is either pretty incompetent or made them purposely fail because they're just there to give Hailey a challenge to get her active and motivated, not to actually sabotage her.

• To put it in Beta's words, he thinks Scott is a "buffoon". Scott's general stupidity and clumsiness likely offend Beta's calm and orderly nature. To put it another way, they're very different from each other, which understandably leads to friction on Beta's part.
