How Good Is The Chibverse Space Race Short?

So, How Good Is The Chibiverse Space Race Short, Well, Here's Some Thoughts!

1. The Setup
Hailey Banks and her adorable “chibis” (mini versions of characters) receive a challenge from the villainous Lord Hater: a race to the mysterious Pepperoni Moon. Naturally, it's also a race against Phineas, Ferb, and the rest of the gang.

2. Journey to the Moon
The chibis, alongside Hailey, build whimsical, moon-bound contraptions—complete with cheese wheels and rocket boost. Phineas and Ferb bring their characteristic inventive flair, making the competition thrillingly inventive and chaotic.

3. Rivalry & Hijinks
Lord Hater throws various obstacles in their path: gravitational glitches, asteroid fields, even sabotages that lead to slapstick moments—like chibis bouncing off fellow chibis or getting stuck in meteor showers.

4. The Pepperoni Moon

They finally land on the moon, which—true to its name—is covered in pepperoni.

Key Themes & Highlights

  • Teamwork & Creativity
The competitors combine forces when things go awry, improvising brilliantly under pressure.

  • Classic Phineas & Ferb Energy
Over-the-top inventions, quirky humor, and heartwarming camaraderie anchor the story.

  • Visual Gags & Animation Style
Exaggerated lunar visuals (like bouncing cheese) highlight the show’s playful, imaginative tone.

Episode Info

  • Title: Space Race (third segment, season 3, episode 4C in production; aired April 26, 2025)

  • Written by: Gloria Shen; Directed by: Christine Liu

2. Forming the Starship Chibiprise

Beta narrates this segment like a sci-fi serial—The Adventures of the Starship Chibiprise. The crew line-up is impressive:

  • Hailey Banks as Captain

  • Launchpad McQuack as Pilot

  • Phineas & Ferb navigating

  • Beta on tech/comms

  • Gordita Humphrey as senior scientist

  • Bill Green the engineer

  • ChaCha Ramirez on weapons

  • Addison Wells managing alien energy

  • Plus Clamantha, who sneaks aboard

3. Villains Enter the Scene

Lord Hater, with a motley crew of familiar villain chibis including Killbot 86, Don Karnage, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Flintheart Glomgold, Mina Loveberry, and more, confront the Chibiprise. They want the pepperoni moon as a future military base, citing “squatters’ rights.” Hailey feigns ignorance to stall as Beta revs up the engines

4. Filibuster Tactic & Asteroid–Pepper Flake Chaos

Lord Hater launches into a detailed explanation of “Chibi Laws” and filibusters—perfect cover—while Beta prepares for light‑speed jump. As Killbot notices, the villainous team fires on them. The Chibiprise dashes through a pepper‑flake asteroid field (thanks to Braden’s pepperoni trick), slowing them down

5. Tactical Genius Saves the Day

Seeing their shields failing, Hailey enacts a daring plan: Launchpad guides a large asteroid (pepper flake included) directly into Hater’s ship. Addison uses her alien powers to redirect it into the ship's core—causing a dramatic explosion and forcing the villains to flee

6. Moonbase & Miracle

The Chibiprise finally lands intact and discovers the moon is entirely made of pepperoni. Hailey logs that their discovery will feed the Chibiverse for centuries

7. Surprise Finale

Post-departure, the hidden Clamantha remains behind. Shortly after, chibi aliens crown her as Queen of the Pepperoni Moon—a delightful, whimsical twist to end the adventure

Overall Tone & Themes

  • Teamwork & Creativity: From building the ship to executing strategic moves, collaboration is key.

  • Playful Parody: The show packs genre references into its narrative in a fun, layered way.

  • Pizza Power: The whimsical concept—life-sustaining pepperoni moon—matches the show’s lighthearted style.
