One Time I Dreamt About A Favorite Character Of Mine...

One Time, Last Night, I Dreamt About A Favorite Character Of Mine... It Was Merian From StuGo...

She Was Basically Being Trapped By Tentacles On The Island, I Was thinking About The Dream Today At School...

I Woke Up Just After The Dream Ended, And Just Before I Woke Up Before School...

Merian had drifted into a deep sleep, but her dream was anything but peaceful.

In her dream, she stood alone at the edge of Lake Luminara. Mist curled like sleepy fingers across the water. Suddenly, the lake bubbled. Ripples spread out. And then—

WHOOSH!

A massive, friendly-looking giant octopus burst from the water, its huge eyes blinking curiously at her.

“Uh… hi?” Merian managed to squeak.

The octopus didn’t reply—not out loud, at least. Instead, it stretched out one of its enormous tentacles. Then another. And another. In a flash, Merian was wrapped in a soft, squishy tangle of octopus arms.

But instead of squeezing, the tentacles…

Tickled her.

“HEY—NO—STOP—HAHA—THAT TICKLES!” she shrieked, laughing uncontrollably as the octopus wiggled its arms under her elbows, behind her knees, and even on the bottoms of her feet.

The octopus seemed delighted by her giggles and wiggled even more enthusiastically.

Merian laughed so hard that she woke herself up.

The Next Morning

“Merian? Meriaaan? You alive?” Sara’s voice floated through the cabin as sunlight streamed in.

Merian sat up with a gasp, tangled tightly in her sleeping bag like she’d fought a tornado in the night.

Francis poked his head over her bunk. “Whoa. What happened to you? It looks like you tried to wrestle a burrito… and lost.”

Pilny snorted. “Maybe she sleep-rolled her way to another dimension.”

Larry nudged Chip. “Bet you five bucks she had a weird dream.”

Chip nodded thoughtfully. “She always has weird dreams.”

Merian groaned, rubbing her eyes. “You don’t understand. I was attacked. By a giant octopus. And it tickled me to death.”

The group stared at her.

Then—they all burst out laughing.

“Only you,” Sara said, wiping a tear from her eye, “could be defeated by a dream octopus with a tickling strategy.”

“It felt so real!” Merian insisted, still half convinced she might find tentacle marks somewhere.

The others helped untangle her from her sleeping bag, still laughing as they all got ready for breakfast.

As they walked toward the mess hall, Merian glanced back at the lake.

For just a moment—just one tiny second—she thought she saw bubbles in the water.

But when she blinked, they were gone.

She shook her head. “Nope. Not today.”

Chip grinned. “Don’t worry. If the giant octopus ever returns, we’ll protect you.”

“With what?” Francis asked. “Anti-tickle spray?”

Merian shoved him playfully—and for the rest of camp, her dream became the legendary inside joke of the StuGo crew.
