- The movie is set during the lead up to Christmas. While the original Japanese release was during December, it briefly aired in theaters internationally on the following Valentine's Day (though it admittedly still fits thematically given that it is a romance story).
- The manga tends to do this in general due to sticking to an internal timeline rather than whatever time of year it happens to be in the real word at the time of publishing. The aforementioned Christmas arc came out in spring, New Year's Day in September, and Valentine's Day was during July.
- The Loud House: The Valentines Day Episodes "Singled Out; Brave the Last Dance" were supposed to premiere on February 8, 2020, but Nickelodeon moved the premiere to February 15, 2020 which premiered that same weekend, causing the episode to air the day after Valentine's Day.
- Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi was born on the day of tanabata, which celebrates the once-a-year meeting of Orihime (Vega) and Hikoboshi (Altair) across the Milky Way. It's the Japanese equivalent to Valentine's Day.
- In Lucky Star, Akira Kogami: Valentine's day, but not much is made of it.
- My Hero Academia: La Brava, Gentle Criminal's sidekick whose Quirk is literally The Power of Love, was born on February 14 - Valentine's Day.
- Ojamajo Doremi: Hazuki Fujiwara's birthday is on Valentine's Day.
- BlazBlue: Jin's birthday is Feb 14 (Valentine's Day), coupled with Tsubaki being born on March 14 (White Day); the same is true for their alter-egos, Hakumen and Izayoi respectively.
- The final chapter of the Rom Com manga My Monster Secret was published on Valentine's Day 2017.
